13 ROOMS exhibition by Kaldor Public Art Projects – what’s it about?
13 Rooms is described as an exhibition of ‘living sculpture’ featuring 13 purpose built rooms inside the Pier at Walsh Bay Sydney.  Each room has a different artwork created by the following artists: Marina Abramovi?, John Baldessari, Joan Jonas, Damien Hirst; Tino Sehgal; Allora & Calzadilla; Simon Fujiwara; Xavier Le Roy; Laura Lima; Roman Ondák; Santiago Sierra; Xu Zhen and Clark Beaumont.

13 Rooms is first exhibition of its kind in Australia. It is an entirely new experience where art, theatre and dance combine to create immersive and interactive encounters between the performers and the viewers.

Please note that with the exception of the Australian artist duo Clark Beaumont who will perform their own work for the full duration of the exhibition, each of the artist works will be interpreted by local performers for this exhibition.

13 Rooms opens to the public for 11 days only, from 11-21 April 2013, 11am-7pm daily, and late fridays for ‘Parlour’ events
