City of Sydney Library is celebrating the Year of the Tiger this February with a range of exciting Chinese New Year 2010 events.
Learn about Chinese New Year traditions and the ancient practice of Feng Shui, make firecracker decorations at a free craft workshop or witness some of Australia’s best Chinese calligraphy artists in action:
Enchanting Taiwan: Customs House Library - 12 February – 5 March 2010
Explore Taiwan’s cityscapes, indigenous culture and ancient folklore in this exhibition of photos from Taiwan’s top photographers. From its agrarian past to its neon-lit present, Taiwan will come to life in this unique display, supported by the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office.
