The Ultimate Home, Food and Wine Party
ACP Magazines 30 Days of Home, Food and Wine Live House at the Hordern Pavilion, The Entertainment Quarter, Moore Park, Sydney, launch party was alive with colour, ideas and vibrant people both inside and out.
Inside the Live House a diversity of designer rooms and table settings jumped out with cutting edge design and innovation. The massive space includes lounge, bedroom, kitchen and dining sets with all the latest in innovative Australian home design.
Top Gear’s Ultimate Garage for the ‘shed men’ stood against Sheridan’s ‘Sleek Sanctuary Workshop’ for those seeking luxury and sound sleep – both examples of the diversity on offer for public visitation.
Damien Leith performed songs from his current album ‘Roy; A Tribute to Roy Orbison as tray upon tray of outstanding culinary offers were quickly taken up by the buzzy crowd.
Don Burke’s ‘Burke’s Backyard’ and French Marketplace around the exterior was abound with rare plants, olives, fig trees and other French garden products available for the garden connoisseur Don personally laboured for many, many hours on this space and MiSociety caught him and his lovely wife Marea taking a well earned rest on what Don described as the ‘new garden shed’. This garden seat actually opens up to become a ‘hold all’.
The Live House for 30 Days of Home, Food and Wine was 12 months in the planning and took 14 days to assemble by a working party of 123 helpers. Some of those involved with the building of these stunning units were at the party and their enthusiasm and pride in their accomplishment was refreshingly obvious along with that of the teams behind the ACP stable of Lifestyle Magazines.
