Alex Perry’s Designer Rugs Magic Carpets
Alex Perry, one of Australia’s most renowned fashion designers, launched his latest collection this Wednesday at Sun Studios, Alexandria. However, this fashion won’t be hitting the catwalk – it is destined for the floor.

In the Sun Studio’s expansive space wall to wall fashionistas and Sydney’s elite interior designers turned up to see the new Alex Perry rug collection. This is the latest in a series of collaborations between Designer Rugs and various designers and artists. The Alex Perry rugs combine Greek inspirations with red carpet glamour to deliver stunning hand-made 100% New Zealand wool rug designs.

In a night that fused glamour and creative design guests were treated to Greek style canapés with drinks served in the most amazing glassware. What a treat.

As the event wound down and with no taxis in sight MiSociety was tempted to see if one of Alex Perry’s magic carpets could swiftly convey us home.
