An Hour with Thomas Edison and his Wonderful Phonographs

Wayne Dempsey, a local willoughby resident, will showcase his outstanding collection of Edison phonographs, recordings, advertisements, books and other memorabilia. In this hour long presentation you will get to hear some rare Edison recordings dating from 1890, find out about the history of the Edison company in Australia and beyond and view these beautiful, antique phonographs up close and personal. Phonographs on display will include Edison Spring Motor Phonograph 1895, Home Phonograph 1897 and 1901, Amberola 1912, Sheraton Diamond Disc 1919 and the Chippendale Laboratory Machine.
