Young Wagilak Group shine in Sydney at the Classical Music Awards Night
Stars certainly shone at the 2009 APRA and the Australian Music Centre Classical Music Awards for 2009 held at the Sydney Opera House and the After Party at Opera Point.
The Awards ceremony illuminated the contemporary musical talent that is spread throughout Australia and was also a role model for how a successful ‘awards’ night should be organised. With speeches kept to a minimum and preceedings that ran without a hitch we were all blown away with some brilliant live performances that left the audience in awe.
The Opera Point proved an excellent choice for the after party that buzzed along as exhuberant winners mingled amongst guests with ex rock star and Federal Minister for the Environment, Peter Garrett, seemingly enjoying crossing over the genre line to contemporary classical music.
