Craving Asian Food On Your Sydney Doorstep
Asia on your Doorstep was launched in Sydney with a Special Cocktail party held in The Lord Mayor’s Reception Room at Sydney’s Town Hall and MCeed by the glamorous Fashion Designer and television presenter Claudia Chan Shaw.
Asia on your Doorstep is a unique initiative to promote the Restaurants and Hotels in the Chinatown, Koreatown and Thaitown precincts in the Haymarket district of Sydney.
Joanna Saville, Director of the Crave International Food Festival held during October in Sydney, officially launched Asia on your Doorstep and welcomed it as an addition to the Crave Festival smorgasbord of activities and events. Joanna told guests that Asia on your Doorstep is a significant new event for Sydney where more than 2 million people a year already visit Sydney’s Chinatown and 700,000 people participate in the Crave Festival.
Sydney City councillors and representatives from the Korean, Thailand and Chinese consulates, were amongst the invited VIP guests who enjoyed canapés inspired by Asia such as yellow fin tuna sashimi served with a yuzu emulsion and puffed black rice and Wagyu beef Bulgogi.
