Love Australia Day. The day when Aussie of all persuasions drape themselves in flags, silly hats and no end of paraphernalia to get out and have some fun celebrating our wonderful country at venues everywhere as diverse as our populous.
No better was the Australia Day ‘feel good’ demonstrated than at Strongbow Cider’s ‘Orchard’ at The Rocks on Sydney’s iconic Harbour.
In the shadow of Strongbow’s ‘apple tree’ sculpture and to a terrific line-up of live music and DJ’s, funsters got into the assembling and de-assembling of the giant ‘Jenga’ big time. But it was German precision that won out in the end with Paul and Phil (here on holidays and draped in Oz flags) taking out the ‘championship’.
Will cider become the new ‘beer’? Can’t say but it sure went down a treat with this crowd. We’d had plans to spread ourselves around town further but this party turned out to be too congenial to leave in a hurry and it would have taken a lot more than a little rain to dampen the spirits here.
Congrats to Strongbow, Pulse PR and all involved for a well run, professionally controlled and good fun event.
