Montana Cox is Australia’s next top model 2011.
Australia’s Next Top Model was crowned during a live broadcast from the Sydney Opera House on FOX8.
Montana Cox, 18, from Melbourne was announced as the winner beating Liz Braithwaite,18,of Brisbane and Simone Holtznagel also 18 from Wollongong NSW.
Winner Montana Cox said: “This whole experience is surreal. When I auditioned earlier this year I never dreamed I would be the winner. I’ve only just finished my year twelve exams and now this has happened. It’s an incredible way to finish the year. I am now in a great position to give modelling my best shot.”
From the very first episode, this series of Australia’s Next Top Model started big. In a world-first, a stunning lineup of a top 100, girls was showcased, before being whittled down to 20 and flown to the fashion capital of the world, Paris.
Upon their return to Sydney, the final 16 models were announced and were moved in to a lavish $22 million dollar mansion in Sydney’s Eastern suburbs.
Host and Executive Producer Sarah Murdoch said: “Montana is our greatest discovery yet. For a girl who thought she was out of her depth at the first photoshoot to winning tonight, its an incredible achievement. Her win is so well deserved and earnt. She’s worked very hard and impressed everyone. I know she will take on the interrnational fashion world.”
Australia’s favourite model, Tasmanian girl Madeline Huett, was also announced tonight as voted by FOX8 viewers. Madeline receives a $5,000 cheque thanks to Blackmores.Share
