No doubt about the Italians and their friends they know how to do the whole food and wine thing.
The aroma of freshly brewed coffee and Italian cuisine flagged to MiSociety instantly that we were in for a culinary delight at the launch of Bacco – and we sure were.
Tucked into the expansive ground floor of the Chifley Plaza and amid warm timbers and soft lighting is a fantastic new addition to Sydney’s ‘eating, drinking, meeting’ scene.
Owners Ramzey Choker and George Michael (no not him) have impresarioed a band of extraordinary culinary talents for their new venture.
With Fulvio Lancione in the kitchen, Brendan Dewar on pastry, Marco Faraone designing the cocktails and Ben Moechtar hand picking the wines there is culinary music happening at Bacco.
The open kitchen here is an entertaining focal point and helps provide an identity for your food more than just a meal that has arrived from some mysterious place out the back. The spectacularly lit intimate booths, part of Michael McCann’s interior design of the venue, will prove a welcome escape from the city hub bub outside.
