Blackberry knows how to throw a Block Party
Mobile phones, capable of organising (running!) your entire life, are flooding the marketplace and chief target demographics are the X and Y generations.

To launch it’s new 3G Pearl the folks at Blackberry threw a Block Party and invited half of Sydney along and rang  in enough entertainment to perhaps keep the throng off their phones for a while.

Bikes and skateboards with their riders somehow attached defied gravity above the huge specially constructed ramp while a drummer drummed and fire eaters – umm ‘ate’.  On stage the Aussie talent was led in by Tamara Jabre and Reigan Derry of Scarlett Belle with Jessica Mauboy R&Being the dancing crowd.

The headline act -Fall Out Boy’s, Pete Wentz – unplugged his guitar for the night to take a spin on the turntables as DJ.

Cocktails, wine, beer and bottled mixers were in good supply inside the cavenous Carriageworks space and it’s caged off VIP area that had some of the few seats in the place.  It was great to see such a large crowd of good natured potential Blackberry owners out to have a good time.  Well done.
