Russian Ressurection Film Festival for 2011 showing great film of many genres and touring nationally
‘ELENA’, directed by Andrei Zviagintsev, launched this year’s Russian Resurrection Film Festival in Sydney and it seemed many Elena namesakes graced the official After Party at the Coachmen Restaurant although unlike the principle character of the movie none of the ‘Elenas’ were seen committing murder on the night. Australian Film Industry Launches its very own ‘Ozcar’
AFI (Australian Film Institute) threw a huge shindig for 600 guests at Sydney’s OPT to announce the formation of the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA).
The inaugural AACTA Awards will be held at the Sydney Opera House where Australian large and small screen stars, starlets, producers, directors and writers will have the opportunity to vie for ownership of an ‘Aussie Oscar’ in January 2012.
