“Diner et L’ Art” – Le Billich and Ananas paint the town French style
Christa and Charles Billich in conjunction with Ananas Brasserie and Bar at Sydney’s The Rocks, hosted “Diner et L’ Art”, an indulgent five course dinner with superb matched wines, that bought guests from near and far to enjoy some brilliant ‘Billich’ hospitality. Wines served were sourced from seven different countries with diners hailing from many more.

The amazing dishes from the Ananas kitchen and accompanying wines were only surpassed by the company of a room full of fabulous, fun folk.

MiSociety’s surprise wine winner was the ‘Mansakuno Hana Junmai Ginjo, Akita’ a Japanese Sake. If you think the name is a mouthful – this wine sure is – and that’s from non Sake drinkers.

Charles Billich‘s signature and highly sought after paintings adorned the walls as animated conversations filled the French styled Ananas dining room. The sign of a great dinner party is when table hopping becomes de rigueur.

Christa Billich led the glamour stakes in a shimmering full length gown with Charles Billich resplendent in an vibrant oriental inspired jacket – those who know this glamorous, globe trotting couple would expect nothing less from them!

Nicholas Croizer (French Consul-General NSW) , Dr Luca de Leonardis (Head of Invest Hong Kong AU NZ) with his stunning wife Sofia were among guests along with Matty Samaei (Ch 7 The Morning Show beauty expert), Andrew Hornery (PS Sydney Morning Herald), Mariam Belle (Bondi Radio), Sonia Petrevski (Eyebrow Artistry), Karim Gharbi (VIP Sydney), Amana Hart (Art Consultant Billich Gallery), Ginni Hammond and many more glam and fab ones.

Rumour has it that some hardy souls partied till past 4am – no names here!

SYDNEY Opera House 8 September 2015
Anything Goes,  Sydney Opening Night, Red Carpet Photos, Review, photos, images, review; MiSociety

Anything Goes is fast, farcical and fun as Caroline O’Connor wows ‘em on stage.
Joan Sutherland was likely in an audience for one of the early productions of Anything Goes since its inception in 1934, little realising that it would be staged in the theatre bearing her name at the Sydney Opera House in 2015.

Anything Goes does labour under the restraints of its age but due to the excellent cast led by dynamo Caroline O’Connor (Reno Sweeney) the farcical storyline somehow becomes insignificant. Continue Reading »

Barangaroo Reserve Welcome Celebrations – a three month long party for Sydney
Barangaroo was a powerful Cammeraygal woman at the time of Australia’s early Colonial settlement with one of her husband’s being Bennelong, after whom the site of the Sydney Opera House is named.  Accordingly, it is fitting that they are now both immortalised together on Sydney Harbour – the world’s most fantastic (and largest) natural harbour in the world.

Barangaroo is impressive, being one of the Continue Reading »

Cruise Bar Sydney Re-Launch/Re-Opening Party photos, images, story: MiSociety

Cruise Bar serves up tasty platters at a high octane Launch Party
Sydney’s Cruise Bar, at the Overseas Passenger Terminal on Sydney Harbour, burst back onto the bar and restaurant scene with a high octane party that grabbed news worldwide due to gals serving up fruit in an unusual way.

“Outrage” cried the tabloids “sexism” labeled others while the barely clad guys on the scene didn’t rate a mention. One can only assume the girls (and guys) were rewarded for their performances as models and MiSociety has seen more ‘skin’ on an underwear ad currently plastered on bus shelters on open exhibition around town.

Moving forward and back to the party that attracted a diverse list of media and VIP guests including Continue Reading »
