Moët Ice Impérial breaks the traditional code of serving champagne at 7 degrees celsius and is served chilled with ice cubes, fresh mint and garnished with strawberry in larger than usual drinkware – a move that announces ‘Yes, we are traditional but we can also be fun, fresh and sexy!’ Continue Reading »

Opera Australia production of La Bohème in The Domain a real singing in the rain performance
Mazda Opera in the Domain in Sydney featured Giacomo Puccini’s ‘La bohème’ for its 2013 showpiece which, despite Sydney’s weather being bad enough to keep self respecting bohemian under cover, never the less still attracted a throng of hardy followers and those wanting a first experience of opera al fresco or otherwise.
Celebrities from showbiz and media together with Opera Australia supporters and sponsors packed the stylish Mazda VIP Marquee with its ‘La bohème’ all-new Mazda6 on display in a floral sea. The much anticipated tradition of the Mazda pre-show function and VIP after party where cast members join in for a post show celebration again did not disappoint. Mazda’s Marquee was again stunning and the hospitality superb.
Martin Buckingham (Rodolfo), Samuel Dundas (Marcello), Nicole Car (Mimi) and Lorina Gore (Musetta) gave a stellar performance conveying not only the music of Puccini but acting out the libretto by Giuseppe Giacosa and Luigi Illica. When MiSociety congratulated Martin Buckingham on both his singing and acting skills in his role he said “just being able to sing is no longer enough in today’s competitive opera world”.
Indira Naidoo (SBS), the Hon.Bronwyn Bishop MP and Les Hill ((Underbelly 2, Rescue: Special Ops), Steve Leibmann, Vince Colosimo and Amanda Bishop were amongst the VIP’s that braved the inclement weather to attend.
Opera in The Domain 2013 La Bohème was a stunning and engrossing performance by Opera Australia and thank you to Mazda for making it all possible.
