There was a purple tinge to the Chambord Shine Award for 2008 evening held at the Waterbar, Blue Hotel in Sydney. Invited guests were royally treated to purple coloured beverages that offered several mixes using Chambord, a magnificent liqueur made with rich franboises (small black raspberries) and other fruits and herbs combined with delicious honey.
Chambord offered 10 emerging, talented Australian fashion designers the opportunity to create an outfit to reflect the Luxury French Black Raspberry Liqueur.
The designer creations were showcased on the catwalk to the obvious appreciation of the attentive crowd. The judging panel chose Carl Kapp’s stunning, sophisticated, full length gown in a rich purple, as the winner of the this first Chambord Shine Award. The winning outfit will be featured in a 2-page spread in March 2009 in the signature fashion magazine Marie Claire.
The remaining nine creations are being auctioned on Grays Online until 1 December, the proceeds being used to support breast cancer research through the charity Fashion Targets Breast Cancer. The auction will run until the 1st December.
