Chinese New Year 2011 in Sydney -  Art Gallery of NSW opening until midnight, with over 30 free events.

  • Saturday 5 February 2011 – 10am – midnight
  • Sunday 6 February 2011 –  10am – 5pm

AGNSW will help you celebrate Chinese New Year in Sydney staying open till 12.00am. Explore Chinese culture with traditional Chinese performances, storytelling, tours, workshops, films, demonstrations and roving entertainment.  

The First Emperor: China’s entombed warriors will be a highlight with  stunning bronze vessels, musical instruments, lacquer wares and jades in Homage to the ancestors: ritual art from the Chu kingdom – open till midnight.

Music in the Shanghai Nights Bar
In the Shanghai Nights bar , enjoy sophisticated Chinese-influenced beats with FBi DJ Chris Coucouvinis, performances all night long and the flavours of modern China with a contemporary Chinese menu.
