In today’s society of ever burgeoning, bigger and better hype, one runs the risk of becoming a little jaded with all the blurb.
But then along comes Cirque Du Soleil’s ‘Dralion’.
Now I’m sure most of you have heard about Francois Barbeau’s costuming wizardry, Julie Lachance’s tempestuous choreography and Li Xining’s innovative acrobatic acts. But, until you actually experience ‘Dralion’ for yourself descriptive analogies can do little to portray the magical artistry of it all.
Cirque Du Soleil is the Olympics of showbiz where performers appear to be competing with each other with astonishing acrobatic acts of flair and grace. The colour, energy, music, skill and awe inspiring imagery is extraordinary.
I have to confess during Wang Junru’s ‘hand balancing’ I had to look away due to the extremes of her contortions – she can scratch her nose with her toe - anticlockwise!
If you haven’t seen Dralion yet you’d better get booking soon so you can oow, ahh, marvel and become as totally engrossed in it as I did. Oh, and maybe look at treating yourselves to the better seats – it will be worth it…MiSocietyShare
