The Impro Comedy Night of Nights. The climax of a season of cut-throat comic competition. Best of the jest.
- Sat 11 December 2010 at 8pm
It’s the ultimate challenge for the fastest wits in the comedy business. The climax of a season of cut-throat comic competition.
The best six teams of improvising comics compete for prizes, glory and the biggest, ugliest trophy in the known world. It’s the annual Cranston Cup Grand Final and it’s coming to the Enmore Theatre Saturday December 11.
After a gruelling battle of wits through the heats and semi finals, four teams are confirmed: The Tri-State Ghost Hunting Society, Bavaria’s Wurst, Steen! and The Swinging Independents.
Will it be The Northern Nonsequiturs, The French Army, The National Average League All Stars, Sacs Appeal, The Leichhardt Lions or All the Single Ladies (featuring Jay Laga’aia)?
Theatresports is like Seven’s Thank God You’re Here and the Comedy Channel’s Whose Line is it anyway… Comedy icons like Wil Anderson, Julia Zemiro, Adam Spencer and Andrew Denton cut their comic teeth on it. Improvised competitive comedy mayhem – with judges and audience participation . And at the end of the journey… the biggest, ugliest trophy in the world: the legendary Cranston Cup.
This is the best of the jest. The pick of the shtick. The cream of the teams. Cheer them on to glory or despair on Theatresports’ night of nights!
