Queensland flood victims to benefit from concerts and Australia Day fundraising in Manly

In the lead up to Australia Day, Manly Council will host a series of special benefit concerts and other fund raising events to aid victims of the floods which have devastated Queensland and northern New South Wales.
Commencing with two concert performances at Manly Beach (opposite The Corso) on the Saturday and Sunday, 22 and 23 January, fund raising events will continue on Monday and Tuesday (24 and 25 January) then culminate with Manly Council’s Australia Day Celebrations being held on the Manly Council Chambers forecourt on Australia Day, 26 January.
Events planned include:
Live Concert, (5pm – 8pm) Saturday 22 January, Ocean Front Stage, Manly. (Line up of artists will be published next week)
Live Concert, (5pm – 8pm) Sunday 23 January, Ocean Front Stage, Manly. (Line up of artists will be published next week)
Live Music Entertainment, (noon- 2pm) Monday, 24 January, The Corso (John Speight Stage), Manly. (Line up of artists will be published next week)
Live Music Entertainment, , (noon- 2pm) Tuesday, 25 January, The Corso (John Speight Stage), Manly. (Line up of artists will be published next week)
Australia Day Celebrations, Manly Town Hall forecourt, corner of Belgrave Street and The Corso, opposite Manly Ferry Wharf, from 8.00am to 11.00am, Wednesday 26 January 2011.
Volunteer collectors with buckets (including Manly Surf Life Saving Club members) will seek donations throughout events and elsewhere on The Corso, Manly Beachfront, Manly Visitor Information Centre (Manly Wharf Forecourt) and at Manly Ferry Wharf.
