Cruise Bar serves up tasty platters at a high octane Launch Party
Sydney’s Cruise Bar, at the Overseas Passenger Terminal on Sydney Harbour, burst back onto the bar and restaurant scene with a high octane party that grabbed news worldwide due to gals serving up fruit in an unusual way.
“Outrage” cried the tabloids “sexism” labeled others while the barely clad guys on the scene didn’t rate a mention. One can only assume the girls (and guys) were rewarded for their performances as models and MiSociety has seen more ‘skin’ on an underwear ad currently plastered on bus shelters on open exhibition around town.
Moving forward and back to the party that attracted a diverse list of media and VIP guests including Australia’s Next Top Model host, Didier Cohen, Celebrity DJ Lady Tre, MTV’s Kate Peck, Celebrity Apprentice’s Tim Dormer, Mel Greig, actor Bren Foster (Home and Away, Days of Our Lives), Project Runway’s Amber Renae and Hi Five’s Casey Burgess (although didn’t spot Casey anywhere).
Food and drinks were plentiful and the entertainment eclectic with breakdancers and performance dancers while conjurer Jack Black added magic to the night. Cruise Bar owner, Chris Cheung, did not hide his enthusiasm as he spoke on the new direction his bar is now venturing into.
Cruise Bar‘s menu maestro, Richard Slarp, will be wowing diners over the three re-mastered levels encompassing the ground floor casual wharf side garden oasis bar, the Junk Lounge sophisticated oriental-?style dining and drinking den above and the top level function area.
