Dancing With The Dogs at 2012 Manly ‘Dogs Day Out’ event! Lookalike comp, Jack Russell Racing track event, training, fun

‘Dances with Dogs’ demonstration event, a dog portrait artist, home-made gourmet doggie treats, the ever popular Jack Russell Racing track event and the opportunity to meet with veterinary and other pet experts will be among the many attractions on offer at the 2012 Manly Council ‘Dogs Day Out’ event from 10:30am to 2:30pm, Sunday 5 August 2012 at Clontarf Reserve (off Sandy Bay Road, Clontarf).
Dogs Day Out where you can learn about dog behaviour and training, children’s safety around dogs and much, much more from 20 advice and information service providers.
Fancy-dress and look-alike competitions, and due to popular demand, the return of the Jack Russell Racing track event. So, if you have a Jack Russell, you should have him or her in training now!
‘Dances with Dogs’ activity involves dog owners and their dogs performing choreographed routines to music. At Manly’s 2012 Dogs Day Out event, experienced professionals will present demonstration performances. “The aim of the Dogs Day Out event is to create a fun day out for all and to promote responsible pet ownership,” said Mayor of Manly and proud dog owner, Councillor Jean Hay.
Oh yep and there will be free poo bags and holders distributed and all dogs must be on leads at all times.
Come along and join in the fun of the Dogs Day, and enjoy a snack from Clonny’s Kiosk which will be open for the community.
