Dungog Film Festival 2012 Jacqueline McKenzie in Angela Baby to feature

The sixth Dungog Film Festival launches its program on 12 June. It will once again showcase the best of Australian film in the picturesque Hunter Valley town of Dungog from the 29 June – 1 July 2012
Australian actor Jacqueline McKenzie will be a guest of the festival for the special screening of the ground breaking 1995 film Angel Baby. In this career making performance, Jacqueline McKenzie starred alongside John Lynch as two schizophrenics who fall passionately in love.
Jacqueline McKenzie’s performance in Angel Baby earned her an AFI and Film Critics Circle Award for Best Lead Actress. In a career that has spanned over 25 years she has starred in numerous films and TV series locally and internationally including Kangaroo Palace, Deep Blue Sea, Kiss Kiss (Bang Bang), Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, Peaches, Opal Dream, The 4400, Mental and Beneath Hill 60. Jacqueline McKenzie will also be taking part in the In the Raw reading of Diving for Poland.
Benjamin and Paul China and Georgina Haig (Underbelly, Wasted on the Young) are amongst other key directors to present the Saturday Night Thriller, Crawl, which won Best Director and Best Actress at the Screamfest LA Film Festival.
The full Dungog program promises to be as satisfying as ever with 5 new Australian feature films, 3 life changing documentaries, over 60 short films and industry panels all packed into 3 inspiring days at the James Theatre, Dungog.
