Hop Aboard the Good Ship ‘Elvis’
Elvis lives!  Not just THE Elvis but a whole industry of Elvis’ (or is it Elvi?) so much so that you can even go on a cruise where if you haven’t heard your favourite Elvis number by the end of it, well then you haven’t been listening.

‘The King’ Tribute Cruise for 2012 was launched at the Elvis Tribute Spectacular at Sydney’s Hard Rock Café where girating pelvises attached to a ship load of Elvises had a room full of grandkids to grannies rockin’ their socks off.

Elvis to the Max (in the form of Max Markson) kicked off the swivel fest with his own karaoke version of the old rocker sound with his tie aswinging and his voice asinging – hysterical!

Big Al’s Clubhouse provided the DJing with Big Al (who resembled an ‘Elvis’ at a theme party) revving up the crew before a long line of swivelling hipsters got into the act.  Each ‘Elvis’ was ‘unique’ (is this an oxymoron) but all were extremely entertaining with honed skills and a professionalism to their music that was admirable.

Huge fun night leaving MiSociety to ponder the thought of spending three days on the recently refurbished liner ‘Rhapsody of the Seas’ in November 2012 singing and dancing along with this group does hold appeal if only to prove to oneself that simple good fun is still the best tonic for the soul.  http://www.MusicCruises.com.au
