The Evergreen Dinner 2010 had an invite list capable of creating the same envious hue amongst every PR company in town.

The Evergreen Dinner, held in the Centennial Parklands Restaurant, is Centennial Parklands Foundation’s annual fundraising event and this year attracted the likes of Malcolm and Lucy Turnbull, Skye and David Leckie, Ros Packer and Thomas Holmes-A-Court amongst many other notables.

Centennial Parklands Dining (a major sponsor of the event) was ablaze with flaming torches and lanterns all throwing their dancing lights across the carpets of moss and foliage draping the restaurant for the occasion.  Inside, the glass walled dining space was aglow with even more lanterns, with each table individually festooned.  Pure Events, produced, designed and styled the event as a sponsor of the night.

James O’Loughlin as MC had us belly laughing over our delicious dinner with his witty, tongue in cheek repartee while also moving things along at a good pace.  As it is with fundraisers it came time for the inevitable auctions.

Good fun here was when Malcolm Turnbull bid $7000 for a plaque in his name to be placed on the magnificent Oak Tree just outside the restaurant.  With no further bids on offer Malcolm then bid against himself lifting the price to $7500 with James chortling “would you like to make a bid too Lucy”.  Skye Leckie, who is never likely to be struggling for social outings, won a theatre ticket package.

If not for the sponsors of such events they couldn’t happen – so support them back
The Evergreen Dinner for 2010 was a huge success, and again, one of the major prestigious events in Sydney, this year raising approx $80K to sustain Sydney’s Centennial Park for us - and future generations.

The many sponsors are to be congratulated including Guy Stein from the award winning Robert Stein Wines who is generously supporting numerous fundraisers currently and Vodka O for the supply of the delicious cocktails.  Cascade were again on board for the third year running, providing their 100 percent carbon neutral brew.  Lighting, audio, vision and staging support were supplied by Innovative Production Services.  Well done guys
