Look out fashion industry here comes the graduating class of 2009
Graduating Tafe students from 2009 paraded their creations down the runway at Carriageworks and we’ve gotta say even though the show was very (very) long the sheer enthusiasm of the designers and their innovative designs kept MiSociety glued till the end. The Design School ‘head’ Nick Huxley is one man who wears his passion on his (designer) sleave and ‘hats off to him’ for another successful year.
On the whole, the level of creativity, quality of finish and colour was excellent showing the level of talent that is coming through to give some of today’s established designers a run for their money. There were several numbers that stood out and even though representatives from fashion houses were thin on the front row they must surely be looking at tapping a couple of these students on the shoulder some time soon.
