Fashion Group International (Sydney) Awards for Excellence 2011 winners
Leanne Whitehouse, Sportsgirl and Berlei were amongst the top winners at the 2011 Fashion Group International Sydney Awards for Excellence 2011.
Held amongst a fleet of gleaming high end used cars at the Scuderia Graziani showroom in East Sydney, Deborah Thomas, General Manager – Editorial and Advertising Projects, Women’s Lifestyle at ACP Magazines, added authority and class as the M.C. for the Awards announcements.
Berlei, the intimate apparel giant, took the top gong for Innovation Excellence above Fashion Week founder Simon Lock with Peep Toe shoes securing the Rising Star award.
Unfortunately during the award presentation one guest had a distressing choking attack that saw proceedings held up momentarily whilst calls for “is there a doctor in the house” rang out. Thankfully the guest recovered.
The Italian wines and food were plentiful but for a very long awards evening it was a little remiss that no seating was provided in the room except of course, the leather covered numbers within the sporty vehicles on display.
