Semillon and Seafood weekend, Hunter Valley NSW.  Saturday’s ‘Main Event’ will host master classes with Peter Bourne and cooking shows with major surprise guests.

Semillon and Seafood 2010 in the Hunter Valley will have an exciting new format perfect for the Spring months.  Moved to coincide with the release of the 2010 Hunter Valley Semillons, this will mean you’ll get to try them first!  Saturday’s ‘Main Event’ will host master classes with Peter Bourne and cooking shows with major surprise guests.  

Fresh seafood from the Newcastle and Port Stephens region will be on offer and you can discover the perfect marriage of oysters and Semillon, and cheer on the winemakers in the great Winemaker cook off.  Special Semillon dinners, lunches and master classes with the great winemakers of the Hunter Valley will be on throughout the weekend.

Indulge in a wine-matched Semillon and Seafood Degustation Menu within the beautiful surrounds of Esca Bimbadgen Restaurant. Executive Chef Ebonnie Newby has created a menu featuring 4 courses plus canapés featuring a range of seafood, match to a flight of Signature Semillon vintages, Sparkling and Botrytis Semillons. This special menu features only on the Hunter Semillon and Seafood weekend.

Join our Celebrity Cook Alvin Quah, finalist Master Chef Series 2, as he demonstrate his favourite seafood recipes and pick up new tips and tricks to amaze at your next dinner party. Finish the session by learning how to match the dish with a Hunter Valley Semillon for the ultimate combination. 
There will be three sessions throughout the day (similar dishes prepared at each session). Meet Janelle Bloom as she demonstrates one of her seafood favourites; Janelle will also MC with Alvin with extra seafood tips to have you cooking like a pro.

This is a great way to learn more, impress your friends or top up your knowledge of Hunter Valley Semillon. The four sessions will be run in a dedicated marquee. Each session will run for half an hour and will include four wines. They will be hosted by The Wine Man, Peter Bourne, who will be joined by a panel of our Winemakers. This is a superb interactive way to learn more about Hunter Valley Semillon.
