Ccreative arts hub of Walsh Bay will be highlighted when up to 1000 guests dine under the stars on Pier Two on Wednesday 27 October.
Palette on the Pier, an Arts Table for 1000, is the initiative of the Walsh B ay Precinct Association and is the first fundraising dinner of its kind held in Walsh Bay.
Six of the area’s leading restaurants including Ottoman Cuisine, Ventuno, Arras and Simmer on the Bay will showcase their talents with a sumptuous Mediterranean themed dinner. Each of the six courses will be matched with wines from the Canowindra region in New South Wales.
Guests will include the Hon Virginia Judge MP, NSW Minister for the Arts, and an invitation has been extended to celebrity actor Cate Blanchett and her artistic director husband Andrew Upton to join guests at the long table.
Live Jazz bands and opportunity to participate in a live auction as the event aims to generate support for non-profit arts organisations while showcasing the multitude of culinary and creative outlets that Walsh Bay has to offer.
All proceeds will go to Regional Arts NSW, a small organisation which the Walsh Bay regional partnership has chosen to honour.
ickets are on sale from the Sydney Theatre Company Box Office. Cost is $150 per person and includes six courses and matching wines.
The dinner will be one of the final events of the CRAVE Sydney International Food Festival.
