Opening of a shoe box
Foot Locker’s opening of their largest Australian store rocked George Street in Sydney with it’s ‘footwear frenzy’ of a launch party.
Foremost DJ ‘Katalyst’ (AKA Ashley) looming high over us pumped mixes above the two troupes of rap dancers Ozboy and SKB performing routines worthy of rivaling a Russian Gymnast Team. Great stuff but still can’t figure how it’s possible to spin on one’s head! (see photo).
Then another ‘katalistic’ moment when Jack Watterson’s ‘key’ fitted the magic Perspex box and he become the lucky new owner of $3000 worth of genuine anaconda skin Nike Air Force 1 trainers. The rare shoes went to a good home as ‘Sneaker Freaker’ Jack already owns over 100 pairs of collectable lace-ups.
This new Foot Locker store in Sydney looks great, is huge and with more shoes in once place than most will have ever seen. The enthusiastic and professional manager Greg Slater and his 2IC Mark Antinora are sure to prove a winning team for Foot Locker.
Much more fun than we had anticipated and after a Jager (or two) we chilled on home.Share
