Squabbalogic presents a welcome return of their sell-out smash from 2009. Toast and roast the best of Broadway in a night to delight both those who love show tunes… and those that loathe them. Forbidden Broadway is playing a return season for three shows only at The Vanguard, Newtown on Sunday July 14 – Tuesday July 16.

Skewering the Great White Way’s greatest hits, a stellar cast parades the hits (and misses) in this hilarious, loving and endlessly entertaining tribute to the theatre’s premier stars and songwriters.  Whether a fan or foe of musical theatre, you haven’t heard the hits from Chicago, Annie, Hairspray, Cats, Wicked, A Chorus Line, Phantom of the Opera until they’ve been given the Forbidden Broadway treatment with a hilarious twist in the tradition of  Weird Al Yankovic.

Don’t bother with SMASH – Forbidden Broadway gives you the real inside scoop and shines a spotlight on the most beloved shows to grace New York’s fabled theatre district at Sydney’s almost-as-iconic Vanguard.

If you’re a fan of Broadway musicals, then you have to see Forbidden Broadway…This show is ‘tears streaming down your face hilarious’.
