The the Alliance Française French Film Festival 2011 marks the 22nd year in Australia with a national program over 4 weeks which traditionally includes up to 40 films which have been commercially released in France the previous year. The best of contemporary French cinema includes action, romance, comedy, thrillers, children’s films, animation and documentaries.
The Alliance Française French Film Festival (AF FFF) is the main French cultural event in Australia and is one of the most important film events in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane.
Films for the 2011 is a smorgasboard of the best of French encapsulating a growing international interest in French cinema. Last year in 2010 the French Film Festival attracted more than 98,000 viewers at over 690 screenings nationally.
