The largest festival of French cinema in the world, outside of France and the largest festival of foreign film in Australia.

MiSociety has looked at the list of  films on offer for 2011 and we can tell you there are many not to be missed.

Alliance Française French Film Festival  8 – 27 March 2011 – 1st time screenings @ Hayden Cremorne Orpheum in Sydney!

The the Alliance Française French Film Festival 2011 marks the 22nd year in Australia with a national program over 4 weeks which traditionally includes up to 40 films which have been commercially released in France the previous year. The best of contemporary French cinema includes action, romance, comedy, thrillers, children’s films, animation and documentaries.

The Alliance Française French Film Festival (AF FFF) is the main French cultural event in Australia and is one of the most important film events in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane.

Films for the 2011 is a smorgasboard of the best of French encapsulating a growing international interest in French cinema.  Last year in 2010 the French Film Festival attracted more than 98,000 viewers at over 690 screenings nationally.
