The Gigli Concert is widely considered to be Murphy’s masterpiece being a fiercely satirical and beautifully crafted play about the endurance of the human spirit and the ability to achieve the impossible.

Directed by John O’Hare (The Seafarer), the cast includes Patrick Dickson (Carson’s Law, Rake) as JPW King, Maeliosa Stafford (Faith Healer) as the mysterious Irishman, and Kim Lewis (Sons and Daughters) as Mona.

JPW King is a quack psychiatrist with an insatiable taste for vodka. The reoccurring question is how to get through each day. Then a mysterious Irishman walks into his office wanting to sing like the great Italian tenor Beniamino Gigli.
