Guys and Dolls, 2009 edition, is slick, fast and professional. Gary McDonald with Marina Prior steal the show along with the performances of Shane Jacobson and Wayne Scott Kermond.
The choreography with it’s split second timing and tightness is some of the best Sydney has seen for a while with the upbeat production likely to prove a great antidote for the financial ‘blues’ currently around town. More info
There was a huge crush of patrons before, mid and after the show making photography difficult but there were many television faces in the crowd with a heavy ch 9 leaning who, incidentally, were doing a lot of ‘footpath’ filming – hmmm.
After all the onstage action and with grumbling tums, MiSociety decided a real meal was the go and as the Capitol Thai restaurant, next to the Capitol Theatre, was only a dice throw away it was the obvious choice. This place serves some of the best Thai food we have had in Sydney and the bonus is for theatre goers - it stays open for after show dining or coffee and dessert.Share
