G forces times 4 – the latest hand held must have
HTC Velocity 4G smartphone is said to be the fastest phone in Australia and guests at the launch party were hot on its tracks with the also smart ‘Neild Avenue’restaurant already packed at kick off time.
Jesinta Campbell, looking as fabulous as ever, was the star guest at the launch event with the other guests mopping up the Moet and the longest lamb chops in Sydney primarily made up of technos and media. Sydney’s chief gossip columnists Andrew Hornery, Shelly Horton and even Ros Reines lined up, but sadly, the only phone given away was the one from a ticket drawn from a hat and we still don’t know who the lucky devil was.
Technology today keeps leaping ahead at a furious rate with most of us on marathon runs just to keep in the race. ‘Instantaneous’ is the catch cry for this little hand held dialling diamond (run on the Telstra 4G Network) that is also credited with being a ‘compact mobile cinema’. At the pace of some of Sydney’s traffic you could likely catch a movie (in surround sound) on your way home in the bus and share the experience with your 2,000 closest friends on social media while ordering that gorgeous new party dress.
The HTC Velocity 4G smartphone looks and feels impressive and with MiSociety’s time playing with it at its launch, it does appear streets ahead of its competitors and certainly whole suburbs in front of the current ‘smartphone’ we have that is a complete ‘dog’.
