With over 60 acres of ten stunning feature gardens, watching the delighted faces just blown away by the sensational sights, colours and fragrances makes our work throughout the year so worthwhile.”
The event will feature a program of daily demonstrations and talks by the Gardens’ highly knowledgeable and qualified Horticultural Team and the Hunter Regional Rose Society on weekends, to include:

Giving visitors a sneak peak, Sean shares his special tips on caring for Roses this season:
· Plant Roses in full sun with good air circulation
· Water at regular intervals with a good deep soaking and don’t water the foliage
· Spray foliage with a seaweed extract every two weeks to stop disease
· Mulch well with a good quality mulch
· Feed every six to eight weeks with a quality fertilizer
· Remove spent flowers regularly as this will encourage more flowers to bloom
· Remove diseased leaves as they appear
· Give Roses a cut back in January to extend their flowering time
Entry to the Gardens is $22.50 per adult, $12 for children between 5 – 12 years of age with children 4 years and under admitted free. For further information regarding the month long Rose Spectacular call Hunter Valley Gardens on 02 4998 4000 or visit www.hvg.com.au
