iKOU opens a perfumed oasis on Oxford Street
The iKOU first Sydney concept store is not easy to miss on Oxford Street Paddington – just follow your nose. The wonderful perfume wafting through the air as we neared this latest add to Sydney’s burgeoning Spa products market was a delicious reprieve from Paddington’s usual ‘nose’.
iKOU means ‘to rest, relax, restore’ with owners, Naomi and Paul Whitfeld, setting out to recreate that wonderful ‘holiday feel’ in Australia after a visit to Ubud, Bali three years ago. So iKOU was born and now with some 900 product lines being distributed world wide they have expanded to Sydney from their Leura base.
Cocktails, concocted using an iKOU tea, flowed as guests lined up for a mini sample of iKOU’s ‘pre-relaxer’ where seated in 1970′s swinging basket chairs our tootsies were wrapped in a warm towel and we listened to some interesting sounds wafting through head phones.
The iKOU concept store looks inviting and on this night was a luxurious oasis on Oxford Street.
