Janus Slices Up Eco and a Ferrari at 1 Bligh St Sydney
Janus Group celebrated the opening of its new CBD premises at no. 1 Blight Street, Sydney. ’Janus’ is a name taken from a Roman god representing ‘new beginnings and transitions’.
Janus Group might be relying for their fortune on a more commercial deity, however – ‘location, location, location’. Janus has a prime position with a coffee shop situated on the outside forecourt and a bistro café on the ground floor of the atrium in a new building of landmark design known as I Bligh Street Sydney.
1 Bligh Street Sydney, developed in elliptical form, is the next generation in high performing sustainable office space, with a 6 Star Green Star and the highest achievable energy rating possible in Australia.
Energy was in no short supply as invited guests enjoyed an outside party under a starry sky (a rarity after Sydney’s desultory recent summer) pepped up by music in just the right note performed by the group ‘JassIs’. One of the most appreciated ‘guests’ on the night was a premier meat cutting machine ( MiSociety was told on the night is valued at about $20,000) that served the most delicate of cuts of delectable meats accompanied by seriously delicious cheeses.
A Ferrari from Scuderia Graziani added pizzazz to the party as eager partyers ogled the gleaming red roadster, lamenting their bank balances as they spotted the price tag.
Cocktails were served all evening to guests from the Janus coffee shop, an ultra modern structure of glass and chrome, that’s sure to be head turning ‘eye candy’ for passers by – day or night. ‘Janus’ is certainly adding an Italian injection of street style to Sydney.
