Jurassic Lounge has re-hatched for the 2012 summer season with the local social wild life again stampeding in for the ‘Enter the Dragon’ Summer 2012 opening night to have some fun amongst the dinosaurs and the whole load of interesting fossils and taxidermied creatures stalking the floors.
Sydney’s most unique ‘bar’ resides within The Australian Museum and has captured the imagination of the party set who are seeking something ‘out of the norm’. Venturing through the Museum amongst the weird and wonderful flora and fauna you can test your vocals at karaoke, your hearing in the ‘silent disco’ and your stamina at pedal power – all while balancing your in-hand drink that’s obtainable from the several bar areas.
Mat Ravier, Artistic Director of Jurassic Lounge, enthused to MiSociety about the Supersaurus line-up of art, music, performance and talks happening every Tuesday night up until 3 April 2012.
Aperol Cocktails (Aperol, Ricadonna Prosecco, Soda) were eagerly downed by the media troupe with many heading off home to make their own from the ingredients generously gifted on the night. And hasn’t cider become ‘the’ drink of the mo with Pipsqueak Pear Cider here being the other star liquid performer. More info on Jurassic Lounge
