The Festival of the Winds.

Australia’s largest and most exciting kite flying festival, Festival of the Winds, is on again this September at Bondi Beach.

Sydney’s spring skies will come alive with hundreds of kites of all shapes and sizes from local and international kite-makers and flyers.

It’s not just the experts who come to fly their kites—anyone can join in the fun!
If you don’t have your own kite, you can buy one from the many kite stalls or better still, make your own at one of our kite making workshops.

As well as kite flying, there is a fantastic multicultural music and dance program, free dance workshops, multicultural food stalls, kid’s entertainment including rides, face painting, wandering minstrels, jugglers, stilt walkers, puppeteers, clowns, craft workshops an art exhibition in the Bondi Pavilion Gallery and much more!  If you’re up for a great day out, the only place to be on Sunday 9 September is down at Bondi Beach for Sydney’s most colourful, fun-filled, family-friendly Festival of the Winds.

For more information and a program call the Bondi Pavilion on 8362 3400, visit www.waverley.nsw.gov.au or email bondipav@waverley.nsw.gov.au

Kite Flying Festival – Festival of the Winds is a Waverley Council event in association with the Australian Kiteflyers Society.
