Kodak Inside Film Awards 2010 – Red Carpet, Award Winners, Presenters and After Party.
Tomorrow When the War Began scooped the pool taking four awards including Best Feature Film at the Kodak Inside Film Awards. See the full list of winners..
The Red Carpet burned hot with the cream of Australia’s movie industry flocking into the Awards, held this year at a jam packed Sydney City Recital Hall. MiSociety viewed the Awards from the buzzing media room where winners came in immediatly from collecting their resin ‘F’ shaped award – with most staying on in there finding it difficult to contain their excitement.
The Kodak Inside Film Awards are the ‘people’s choice’ Awards and this year’s were the biggest and best attended by the film industry we have been to. There was a real sense that Australia’s movie industry is on the uppers again.
Post a very tight and well produced Awards ceremony, curtain raised by MC Angus Sampson being ‘upstaged’ by pint sized 10 year old ‘veteran’ actor Nicholas Bakopoulos-Cooke, a thousand or so people made their way the short distance to the after party at the Ivy Ballroom. OMG was it crowded and heaving in there with bars stocked with Jamiesons cocktails, fizz, wine and beer being rushed and struggling waiters trays cleared of drinks at shutter speed. A ‘big screen’ sized table groaned under the weight of a smorgasbord of giant cheese wheels, desserts and amazing confectionaries with delicious hot nibbles making the rounds. The excitment level amongst the winners was at fever pitch as Sydney’s hot and steamy weather tested the air conditioning inside and the balcony area becoming a steam bath causing girls to rapidly lose height as they kicked off their towering heels.
As the night wore on and the crush subsided marginally, we made for the door passing the hardy souls with some fortutude left to bounce around the dance floor. Huge buzzy party and congrats to all the IF winners.!
The logistics behind running the Kodak IF Awards in Sydney are enormous with the team from 6dc PR, again, doing an excellent job – well done guys.
