SPECIAL GUESTS: In our first show of 2014 PHIL RADMALL will read a wide selection of his work tracing his journey from a ‘grandchild of Albion’ in 1980s UK to a tilt at the prestigious Newcastle Prize here in Oz. Part of that journey involves writing the verse novel: Painting St Feo.
BRENDA SAUNDERS, poet and artist of Wiradjuri and British descent, will present her books: Looking for Bullin Bullin and the Sound of Red. The first deals mainly with her childhood and indigenous issues and the second her involvement with the visual arts world. She won a scholarship to study in France in 2012. Both authors will have a conversation with convenor Danny Gardner before their performances.
As always there will be an Open Section where anyone is welcome to recite, sing, tell a story or play an instrument.
Doors open 7.30 pm. $7 entry includes supper and drinks.
