Lord of the Skeptics rings a warming bell in Australia
Lord Christopher Monckton is the world leader of the climate warming skeptics and is currently on a lecture tour of Australia.  Lord Monckton’s Sydney lecture saw a thousand  people pack the Grand Ballroom of the Sheraton on the Park Hotel with another thousand people ( still queuing outside) turned away. 

Lord Monckton is one of the best speakers I personally have ever come across and the other 999 skeptics and eager listeners were equally enthralled.  I have to say I am a climate warming skeptic.   I believe Keven Rudd and his sidekick Penny Wong are in for a rough trot trying to get their climate change program off the ground.

I chatted with Dick Smith who professed to not being a completely converted skeptic on the subject, but 2GB’s Alan Jones, who M.C.’d the lecture, certainly is.  Professor Ian Plimer also had a few words to say and was busy signing copies of his new book ‘Heaven and Earth’ that he said took him 40 years to write.

MiSociety ponders - Wouldn’t any Australian politician just adore to be able to crow about drawing such a huge enthusiastic crowd for a public meeting/lecture.

    WAIT TILL 2020 PLEASE
    TO SEE IF GLOBAL WARMING DOES REALLY EXIST
    I would like RUDD our EMPLOYEE to stop spending our money on global warming as we are still developing our great nation and would be left in the dust
    1)We wouldn’t even see a significant difference to the climate even after spending $billions of TAX PAYERS DOLLARS
    2)The manufacturing and transport of mandated products like insulation and solar etc. produce huge short term pollution and wasn’t even added in to the IPCC calculator
    3)The ETS Would make the average Australia’s cost of just living $1100 a year more which we don,t have
    4) Copenhagen was a complete waste of time and cost $1.8 MILLION just to send the party over there
    5)As our manufacturing costs go up due to the ETS more Australian jobs will go overseas and the co2 levels would still be produced but in someone else’s back yard like China.
    etc. etc. etc.
    SIMPLY GIVE OUR ECONOMY A BREAK AND WAIT AND SEE IF GLOBAL WARMING DOES REALLY EXIST
