Northcott’s 13th Annual Cricket Legends Lunch with cricket royalty: Richie Benaud, Steve Waugh, Trevor Chappell and more. The lunch will be hosted by renowned former cricketer and commentator, Geoff “Henry” Lawson.
Be bowled over as legendary cricketers Richie Benaud, Steve Waugh and Trevor Chappell take the pitch to support children with disabilities at Northcott’s 13th Annual Cricket Legends Lunch on Friday, 20 February 2009.
Held in Northcott’s 80th year, the Lunch will be held at Dockside – Cockle Bay Wharf, Darling Harbour. Chief Executive of Cricket NSW David Gilbert has lent his support to the event, proudly supported by 2discover, Dockside Group and Cricket NSW.

Australian cricket legends will discuss the hot topics from Australia’s performance against the Kiwis and the Proteas to the Women’s ICC World Cup and how we are shaping up for the Ashes in England. The devastating loss in 2004 is still fresh in all our minds and we all want to know the thoughts and predictions from the experts on what Australia needs to do to retain the Ashes!

As the Aussies prepare for the South Africa tour, a panel of speakers including headed up by MC Geoff Lawson will take part in a lively discussion on all the hot topics including Australia’s performance against the Kiwis and Proteas, along with the Women’s ICC World Cup and how Australia is set to take on England for the Ashes.
Over 30 legends will unite for Northcott, reliving past moments and sharing stories and news both on and off the pitch. Have a chat and laugh with legends and sporting stars including Richie Benaud, Brian Booth, Trevor Chappell, Alan Davidson, Neil Harvey, Geoff ‘Henry’ Lawson, Stuart MacGill, Susie Maroney, Greg Matthews, Max Walker, Steve Waugh, and Peter Wynn.
Each year Northcott’s Annual Cricket Legends Lunch attracts the biggest names in sport, raising much-needed funds for Northcott’s centre-based respite services. Northcott’s centre-based respite services provide children and young adults with disabilities timeout from home to socialise with their peers, while also allowing carers to have a well deserved break. Northcott runs centre based respite centres in North Rocks, Roselands, Wagga Wagga and Tamworth.
The legendary lunch will start with drinks and canapés overlooking a beautiful city view, followed by a three-course meal with first class Australian wines and beers.
Tickets cost $1950 for a table of 10, $2500 for a table of 10 including a legendary cricket host or $195 for an individual ticket – a portion of each ticket is tax deductable.
