Manly Council’s popular ‘Manly World Food Market’ is returning the grassed area outside Manly Council Chambers Forecourt (opposite Manly Wharf) from 5pm – 9pm each Friday from 24th February and 30th March 2012, bringing enticing taste treats, great music and the incomparable, chilled ambience of The World Food Markets.
Bring your picnic blankets for the grass, your family and friends and come, relax and enjoy Manly in the evening time.

Vicky Turner Band – 24th February
6-Piece Rhythm & Blues/Rock/Funk & Soul Group from the Northern Beaches with a great blend of material from the Motown era to Classical Rock Funk.

 Benton & Storm – 2nd March
Playing many favourites from the 60’s era including hits from the 70’s through to 00’s. This two man band rather than duo better sums up this line-up, with Bobby and Marvin playing two instruments each simultaneously! With no use of backing tracks or sequencers of any type, Benton & Storm capture the true spirit of live performance – what you see and hear is what you get! 100% live.

The Ghali Groove Band feat. Hot Potato Roving Band – 9th March
Jazz influenced ensemble combines the flavours of reggae,  blues, latin, jazz and funk with a percussive vibe feat. Hot Potato is a roving band filled with life, fun and laughs for a night of entertainment, bringing Jazz Fusion/Afro-beat an exciting New Orleans sound to the streets of Manly with traditional and modern interpretations.

Zoe Elliot + Daddy Long Legs and the Swamp Donkeys – 23rd March
Back again by popular demand, bringing  Indie and Southern Delta Blues sounds to the Markets.

Memisis – 30th March
3 – piece band comprising violin, cello, guitar and voice,  adapting vast range of styles for their unique string set-up. They offer unique cover arrangements of popular classics from Led Zeppelin, Wolfmother, Crowed House, Coldplay, The Killers and many more, a very enjoyable night of music.
