Merivale’s annual food festival, March Into Merivale, with the 2011 tag ‘The Art of Food’ returns with over 11 venues including the recently launched modern Asian eatery – Ms. G’s, French bistro – Felix, and Surry Hills hotspot -  The Beresford.

Ten of Merivale’s head chefs with the 2011 theme being ‘The art of food’.   Festival campaign  images feature the group’s chefs and Merivale CEO, Justin Hemmes, posing in their favourite food-inspired attire.

We’re kicking off March Into Merivale 2011 with a gourmet extravaganza
at ivy. Meander through Ash Street laneway, sipping and nibbling your way
up to The Ivy Room, your gourmet destination for the evening. All of our
talented head chefs (including est.’s Peter Doyle, Lauren Murdoch from
the newly opened Felix and the legendary Dan Hong of recent Iron Chef
fame) will be waiting to meet you on the night. So come along and sample
some Merivale morsels.

We’ll supply paper and pens so you can show us your creative flair with a visual interpretation of your meal. At the end of the night, we’ll judge the most masterful drawing and if yours is judged the most artistic and creative, we’ll give you your meal for free.*
