Meatball and Wine Bar birthday bash. We had a ball.
Meatball and Wine Bar celebrated their first birthday delighting guests with mouth-watering samples of meatballs and the Italian style aperitif ‘Aperol Spritz’.
Matteo Bruno, owner and founder of the micro-niche meatball business was a fine host, greeting and chatting with guests, welcoming them to either of the two restaurants in Melbourne CBD or Richmond for Italian style meatballs, salad, desert and of course wine.
Meatball sampling at the birthday was a lot of fun. Guests anticipated which meatballs were being
served next and when they arrived, indulged! Gelato filled cookies and macaroons in mix ‘n’ match flavours were a great bite-size and therefore guilt-free desert, except of course that guests couldn’t resist a second or third because of how delicious they are!
Stefano de Pieri, Restaurateur and Celebrity Chef from Foxtel’s Cooking Paradiso, gave an entertaining speech in true Italian style. Hospitable and with hands waving in the air, he authentically represented the heartfelt passion that goes into traditional Italian cooking as he welcomed guests to the restaurant. Stefano described The Meatball & Wine Bar as a place where one can expect to feel comfort and warmth, and he assured that staff are ‘on the ball’ in delivering a great product and service. The pun was intended and he had everyone giggling with bellies full and drinks in hand.
Flinders Lane Food & Beverage Co. supply the Italian wine that you can expect to find on the Meatball & Wine Bar menu before you decide on your meal. For a customised culinary experience, you can mix and match your meatballs by choosing from beef, pork, chicken, fish or vegetarian and then selecting your preferred sauce which might be either of the three Italian colours, red (salsa), white (cream) or green (pesto).
Meatball & Wine Bar entertain by playing with words on their menu and signage. At the ‘Happy 1st Balls Day’ event, they gifted bags of goodies, which they will soon have available for purchase at the restaurant, including chilli oil, pickled tomato and their secret spice, ‘balls rub’.
Meatball & Wine Bar’s 1st birthday bash had guests feasting and licking their lips, confirming the restaurant’s manifesto of having ‘the greatest balls in town!’
