Mexican Film Festival and Fiesta 2012 - fun film food - Say Adios to Clichés and Hola to Mexico

Mexican Film Festival tickets for the annual fiesta go on-sale from October 5 for $14.50-$17.50 and can be purchased at http://www.holamexicoff.com/.   The Mexican  Festival combines the best of everything Mexican for a week of fun, film and food, as the Festival screens 11 feature films, 5 documentaries and one double header.

A stifled, small-town young man stuck in a dead end life, runs away to Mexico to be a mariachi singer. Mariachi Gringo is a musical tour-de-force exploring the reality of “following your dreams” across cultural, personal, social and geographical borders. The film brings a unique blend of talent to the screen, starting Shawn Ashmore (X man), Martha Higareda, and internationally renowned Mariachi singer Lila Downs. The film depicts the beauty of Mexico and the folklore of its culture in this hearty comedy.
