Peter Temple wins the Miles Franklin Award for 2010 for ‘Truth’
The Miles Franklin Literary Awards for 2010 again saw the cream of Australian writers line-up in the hope of taking out the coveted prize. The six finalists for 2010 included Alex Miller (who has twice taken out the award previously) along with Deborah Forster and Sonia Hartnett.
Peter Temple, originally a native of South Africa, was declared the winner for 2010 for his crime fiction novel ‘Truth’. Peter is also a five times winner of the Ned Kelly Awards for crime fiction and is regarded as one of the foremost writers in the world for this genre.
