Gigantic seafood boat rows into hip hop karaoke restaurant’s first birthday
Mizuya’s first anniversary saw over 50 guests join Mizuya’s young owners, Jessie and Terence Chau, for an elegant cocktail party to celebrate the restaurant’s first anniversary.
Entertaining MC for the evening was Radio 2GB’s Glenn Wheeler. Highlight of the night was a magnificent Japanese sushi boat filled to the brim with fresh seafood and Dance Kool ‘s hip hop dancers Akio and Eriko.
Guests included national treasure Margaret Fulton, Narelle and Bill Franks, Glen Marie Frost, Julie Schaeffer, Fran MacPherson, Department of Industry & Investment’s’s Paul Judge, radio personalities Alan Saunders and Sheridan Rogers, Bianca Venuti and Robert and Helen Sham Ho.
MiSociety’s comment; Mizuya’s is something a little different in this city when you think you have seen it all. The main restaurant is made up of booth style dining (perfect for those ‘don’t want to be seen occasions’). Down the long corridor is a series of private karaoke rooms for groups to sing their little hearts out without having the neighbours call the police – great fun.
