Moët & Chandon Ice Impérial launches at Mon Bijou Melbourne
Moët Ice Impérial was launched at the stylish Mon Bijou of Melbourne, where Melbourne’s movers and shakers including Dasha Gold, Deon St Mor and Megan Castran tried Moët Ice Impérial, the latest from Moët and Chandon. Moët Ice Impérial breaks the traditional code of serving champagne at 7 degrees celsius and is served chilled with ice cubes, fresh mint and garnished with strawberries in larger than usual drinkware – a move that announces ‘Yes, we are traditional but we can also be fun, fresh and sexy!’
Melbourne summer weather was at extreme temperatures on the afternoon of the event, encouraging guests to add ice to their champagne – nature’s way of setting the perfect scene. Moët Ice Impérial is said to maintain its quality and keep its robust taste even when ice cubes are added and I must say, as the ice melted, it did not seem watered down to me at all. I instantly fell in love with the fresh taste and the glossy white Moët bottles. I wanted the complete experience of course, so after our complimentary glass (with friend and actor Frank Fazio), we purchased our first bottle of Moët Ice Impérial. It was presented with extra mint and strawberries sitting on ice, in a glamorous white Moët Champagne bucket. I was in Sunday afternoon heaven!
Mon Bijou, meaning ‘My Jewel’ in French, was the perfect venue for the event. Fady Hachem of Hachem Architecture is the flair behind Mon Bijou’s stylish design, magnificent city skyline views and the elegant yet contemporary ambience which complemented Moët Ice Impérial perfectly. Moët and Chandon’s bold move to offer an innovative and more casual champagne preserves loyalty to the brand from today’s young, free-spirited adults. More hot days ahead, more glamorous events to go to, more Moët Ice Impérial please!
